The Community Players' mission is to provide high-calibre, family-oriented community musical theatre to the citizens of Wilmot Township and beyond. TCP actively fosters community spirit and involvement by:
- Creating an opportunity for amateur performers and participants of various ages to learn, grow and express themselves.
- Providing an environment of mutual respect that emphasizes the worth of the individual.
- Encouraging local businesses and members of the community to contribute through donation of time, goods or services.
- Returning a portion of net profits to local projects, groups and charitable organizations.
- Participating in community events.
- Promoting and supporting other community theatre and performing arts organizations.
a tradition of giving back
Since 1984, the Community Players of New Hamburg have been bringing community theatre to Wilmot Township. Earning a Waterloo Region wide reputation of exceptional community theatre.
The Community Players is a charitable and volunteer organization with the mandate of giving back a portion of proceeds into the community from each show. In 26 years, TCP has proudly given back more than $50,000 to the community. Whether it is in support of the local food bank or counselling centre, community projects such as Wilmot's new Multi-use recreational facility or simply helping out other community groups like ourselves, TCP keeps the community at the forefront of all our activities.
